We got a brand-new sonar!

The new sonar is currently being integrated by our colleagues at The Technical University of Cluj-Napoca to work alongside a remotely operated underwater vehicle (ROV). Together, they will be used in UTC’s pool setup. This setup replicates for testing purposes a pilot version of the pose estimation and mapping methods of the SeaClear2.0 robotic system. These methods are crucial for determining the robots’ and litter items’ exact location and its successful subsequent removal.
