Reflecting on the highlights of SeaClear2.0 in 2023 as we welcome the new year with enthusiasm!

Venice Lagoon Plastic Free hosted a beach cleanup on September 16, 2023, for World Cleanup Day as part of SeaClear2.0 and the In-No-Plastic Project.
Over 30 dedicated participants, including VLPF volunteers and the local association Poseidone, collaborated to clean up Sacca San Mattia on Murano and the Forest of Mestre. Together, they removed 275 kg of plastics and 426 kg of other waste in Murano, along with an additional 155 kg of mulching film in Mestre.
On that day, the SeaClear2.0 app was actively used for social mobilization and cleanup coordination.
SeaClear 2.0 is developing an interactive application to make reporting litter easy and enjoyable for local communities, turning the experience into a fun and engaging one!
Let’s carry this momentum into 2024 and continue making positive waves of change for our oceans and planet!
