We are thrilled to announce that the video showcasing SeaClear’s Final Demo in Dubrovnik is now live!
In October 2023, the SeaClear system reached a pivotal milestone with its final demonstration in Bistrina Bay and on the shores of Lokrum island, Dubrovnik, Croatia. Tests were conducted in Bistrina with the SeaClear team stationed on shore, while in Lokrum, the team was onboard the Naše Mor vessel. The Zrinski hosted journalists, local authorities, and guest researchers.
This demonstration marked a significant achievement as it was the first time that all components of the SeaClear system were demonstrated at the same location, encompassing litter search, detection, mapping, followed by litter collection and deposition in the basket. This marks the first step towards a fully autonomous underwater litter collection future where robots can help clean up our oceans. SeaClear’s commitment to keeping our oceans clean continues through our SeaClear2.0 project!
Check out the video showcasing the final demonstrations of SeaClear, which took place on the 11th and 12th of October 2023.
Join us in celebrating this significant achievement and the ongoing journey towards cleaner oceans with SeaClear2.0!
