Before robots entered the water, the conversation started on land.
The SeaClear2.0 workshop in Dubrovnik brought together 20 stakeholders from 12 organisations to identify the region’s biggest marine litter challenges and, more importantly, the actions that could make the greatest difference.
Among the top priorities? More public water refill stations, better access to DRS return points, stronger support for reusable alternatives in tourism, and improved waste separation and recycling.
The day ended with a live demonstration of the SeaClear2.0 robotic system, showing how technology and local knowledge can work hand in hand to tackle marine litter.
