SeaClear2.0 receives Outstanding Achievement in Robotics Sustainability Leadership recognition

SeaClear2.0 recognised for its impact on ocean sustainability

The project received the Outstanding Achievement in Robotics Sustainability Leadership recognition at the European Robotics Forum 2026, held in Stavanger, Norway🏆An award that highlights how robotics can drive real environmental change.

This recognition highlights the growing role of robotics in addressing real environmental challenges and creating solutions with measurable impact.

The award was accepted on behalf of the consortium by Dr Stefan Sosnowski, Chair of Information Technology Control at the Technical University of Munich.

Through the combination of AI, autonomous robotics and citizen engagement, SeaClear2.0 is addressing marine litter at its source. The project supports the detection, mapping and collection of waste, while also contributing to prevention efforts.

All of this is aligned with the Mission Ocean and Waters.

This recognition reflects the strength of the consortium and its shared commitment to turning innovation into real impact for our seas.
