‘Discovery Day’ with SeaClear2.0’s AI-powered autonomous robots!

Our colleagues at Hamburg Port Authority (HPA) Anstalt öffentlichen Rechts hosted a Discovery Day at the HPA dronePort, welcoming students from 18 different universities and institutes in the Hamburg region, studying robotics and autonomous systems, engineering, and environmental sciences.

During their visit, they had the opportunity to discuss the marine litter issue in Hamburg and were introduced to the SeaClear2.0 approach to tackling marine litter pollution and our team of AI-powered autonomous robots!

People gathered in a modern meeting room with large windows; some standing and using smartphones or VR headsets, while others sit near a table. A screen shows a slide with a QR code, and EU project posters are on the wall.
A man in a white t-shirt points at a presentation slide displayed on a screen mounted on a tripod. The slide shows information about EU missions and the role of the HPA, with diagrams and photos.
A group of young adults, seated and standing in a bright indoor room, are participating in a discussion or presentation. Some are sitting on a bench or couch, attentively listening, while others stand near the front, possibly presenting. Posters on the wall indicate EU co-funding, and a photo of a jet and a bridge are visible. The space appears to be part of an educational or professional workshop setting.
A flatscreen monitor displays a presentation slide titled “SeaClear2.0” with a photo of an autonomousoperated marine vessel. The slide includes logos from the European Union and the Hamburg Port Authority (HPA), and mentions “HPA Discovery Day, 24.06.2025.” The screen is part of an event focused on EU missions to restore oceans and waters.
