Literally, UTC’s exhibit for Cluj’s annual “Open Museum Night” asked children to get in the way of robots.
The exhibit involved a team of robots navigating from A to B. The goal? Demonstrate that the robots could detect the children and other robots and move around them, without colliding.
A simplified version demonstrating how robots in the SeaClear2.0 system need to be able to communicate and collaborate with each other. Not simply to avoid colliding, but to be able to detect and collect litter from our waters and ocean.
Other potential applications for such teams of robots? Automated vehicles!
