DUNEA organised a beach cleanup in Neretva Bay, Croatia, in the framework of the SeaClear2.0 project and as part of the Dubrovnik–Neretva County Open Days of EU Projects.
The initiative brought together volunteers from the high schools of Opuzen and Ploče, alongside partners from another DUNEA project, to help remove litter and protect the local coastal environment.
Before the cleanup, students were introduced to the SeaClear2.0 project and its activities by Renata Glunčić and Luka Bošković, expert associates for EU projects at DUNEA. The day continued with discussions around the impact of litter in everyday life and the importance of adopting zero-waste practices.
Every piece of litter removed is a small step towards healthier seas. Actions like these help build awareness, responsibility and a stronger connection between people and the marine environment.
