For their fourth stop, the Mermaid project visited the island of Poros, Greece.
During their visit, Mermaid’s team organised a mapping and clean-up of Poros’ Harbour and carried out a series of consultations with local authorities and the local community.
The team also collected mesoplastics, sea sediment, and seawater samples, which will be sent to the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research for further analysis.
