Research conducted by students at NTNU for the Reclaim project which is supported by SeaClear2.0, led to the development of two research papers focusing on the engagement of industry and local communities for marine litter management in Norway.
“Industry Involvement in Upcycling Pilot Projects” explores the development of collaborative projects and engaging industries in funding or supporting upcycling initiatives. Read the full paper here.
“Re-engaging communities in marine cleanup” highlights challenges and opportunities in marine litter management in Norway. The paper also shares insights and solutions that can be applied to other coastal communities across Europe, to support communities and countries facing similar coastal challenges. The ReclaimProject is implemented by the Municipality of Ålesund, in Norway, through the grant allocated to the Associated Regions of the #SeaClear2.0 project.
